It was a rainy day in Oakville when my cousin Raoul… Wait. I don’t have a cousin Raoul.
We all slept in, even Cathy, who’s famously up early, and Tori, who didn’t have an 8:30 shift at the pool.
It was due to rain. It’s been a long time since I’ve been able to feel it, but there’s a literal sense in the air that it’s going to rain, and hard. Which it did, a few times, including a tornado warning.
Which meant it was the perfect time to do laundry. I somehow miscounted my days so my clothing runs are off. But no big deal, we’re staying at Cathy’s place, so we have laundry.
The only adventure for the day was a trip out to Guelph for a “witch” event at the Canadian Legion. Choo Choo, normally a given for such things, was nearly dead to the world, still recovering from last night. It was too many people in too small a space, which was painful and frustrating, never mind the fact that none of the items for sale had any interest for me. So I bought things for the absent Choo Choo. Monkey waited outside, unable to comprehend the people within.
Dinner was ribs and Caesar salad, which fit me perfectly. Cathy also bought ice cream bars from Costco.
It’s been a simple, quiet day. Which we needed – there’s a couple busy ones to come.
