It’s a girl!

The as-of-yet unnamed Baby Sowrey entered this world at 18:24, weighing in at a hefty 9lbs.

Both mom and baby are healthy and well (if a bit tired) and resting. Dad, on the other hand, is a bit of a nervous wreck…

Welcome to the world, kid!

  1. Congrats!! Please pass my congratulations on to Alex too, 9 lbs entitles her to a hero cookie 😉

  2. Does she know CSS yet? Kidding of course. Congratulations!!! Alex, we’ve never met, but congratulations to you too. Get rest, enjoy this time, it really is an amzing time.

Since you haven’t named her yet I will help and list a few that you should not even consider, I know it may be tough but it is for the best that you stay away from these names.

    span
    br
    ms. sql
    undefined
    reddot
    table
    yachtmaster
and lastly do not name her balmer.

However, Morgan is a very nice girl name. Whatever you name her, there is one thing that you can always count on, no matter what, she will look a million times better in a kilt Geoff 🙂

    Congrats guys!

  5. Yay, I was hoping it was a girl! I like Scott’s suggestions, and it inspired me to offer some too:
Em (short for emphasis, or Emily, who knows?)
DD (Didi is a real name, right?)
    Dom (Dominica?)
or maybe even firstChild or childNode

    Congratulations! 🙂

  6. Hey folks! Sorry for the long span before a response. El Bebe sucks up a lot of time, and it doesn’t help that the cable modem kacked out and needed to be replaced. (For the record, I love being with Shaw.)

First, thanks for all the notes of support and encouragement! It’s great to know we’ve got so many people out there to help!

    Now, to your points:

No, you can’t have enough exclamation points
Alex has been given lots of hugs, and I went with a hero pie instead of a cookie
No, I will not be naming our child after Star Wars characters, Star Trek characters (or derivatives), anything web-related, anything computer-related, or after anything to do with trains
Ballmer? That’s not even funny, man…
Pints… I can have them again! WOO HOO!!
No, I’m not posting pictures of the delivery. No way. Don’t even think of asking.

  7. Hey Daryl! Hard to believe that we did all that five years ago, eh? (Yep, five years!!) Sitting in that mayhem of the Winnipeg show, I’d never have thought that five years later that I’d be married and a father.

    Crazy stuff.
